William Morris

William Morris was born in 1834 and became an artist, designer, writer and social activist, influencing the fashion and ideologies of the era. Morris played a key role in both the Arts and Crafts and Pre-Raphaelite movements, working with printed textiles, wallpapers, stained glass and embroidery. William Morris' designs remain hugely popular, continuing to influence fashions right up to the present day.
