This beautiful tapestry wall hanging is inspired by Botticelli’s Primavera which is one of the most popular paintings in Western art. Primavera means Spring in the Italian language.

It depicts a group of 8 figures from classical mythology gathered in a garden during springtime. These figures include Venus, Cupid, God of Mercury, Wind of March, Goddess of Spring, and other graces. The Garden includes lush plants. The floor is scattered with roses reminiscent of millefleur (million flowers) Flemish tapestries.

 This tapestry is our attempt to transform this great painting into a tapestry wall hanging.
